Hammarskjold’s Henry Thornburg has been named the SSSAA Athlete of the Week following a standout performance in the Vikings’ 45–25 victory over St.Patrick.

Thornburg made his mark all over the field, hauling in three touchdown receptions, going a perfect 6-for-6 on converts, and adding a 40-yard field goal to help lead the Vikings to the win.

Hammarskjold quarterback Kolt Crocker also had a big night, completing 14 of 19 passes for 223 yards and five touchdowns. Crocker added another touchdown on the ground and finished the game with zero interceptions.

It was an impressive offensive showing for the Vikings and a performance worthy of Athlete of the Week honours for Thornburg.

Elsewhere in SSSAA senior football action, St. Ignatius picked up a 30–3 victory over Westgate, rounding out the week’s senior matchups.
