Congratulations to Dakota on being named SSSAA Athlete of the Week.
Dakota, a Grade 9 student originally from Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug, recently competed in the SSSAA Grade 9 Badminton Tournament. In his first experience at a large sporting event, Dakota performed exceptionally well and showed great determination throughout the competition.
Along the way, he developed a strong understanding of the game and its rules, and showed appreciation toward his opponents who supported him with scorekeeping. Dakota also made history as the first athlete from Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School to compete in the Grade 9 Badminton Tournament, marking an important milestone for his school.
Dakota’s willingness to learn, compete, and represent his school with pride makes him a very deserving Athlete of the Week.
